Dear Friends in Jesus,
Among the ways to describe the community of St. Anthony Catholic Church is a phrase from St. Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians – “servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God” (4:1). Indeed, when one encounters our community on a Sunday, not only are they greeted with hospitality and an inviting Mass, but they recognize early to be part of the parish is to be engaged in ministry. This spirit of generosity and service is our response to the love that God has bestowed upon us.
As a multicultural family of believers, we are committed to keeping our Catholic faith alive. This is accomplished by prayer and action. Contemplating the Word of God and participating in the marvelous exchange of the Eucharist, we strive to fulfill Christ’s instructions to love and to serve all people. Specifically, we hope to commit to the following goals:
– Capital improvements to ensure sustainability of our parish properties
– Evangelization efforts to attract others from the local community
– Faith Formation enhancements to provide opportunities for parishioners to grow
– Stewardship development to foster a spirit of generosity
I am hopeful that you will join me in these efforts. The success of our parish is in the faithfulness of its members. Your continued generosity of talent and treasure have been the foundation of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, and your stewardship will ensure that we fulfill our mission to serve all through the love of God.
Sincerely in Christ,
Fr. James Valenzuela
Pastor
